Now, on to what this post is actually about, autumn and knitted socks. It has been very cold and rainy here the last couple of days. Last Sunday it already snowed in the north of Finland! I'm happy I didn't move that far north.
Today the temperature didn't get any higher than 5°C (that's 41°F for the US peeps), so it was definitely time to get out my scarf and mitts. Luckily tomorrow it will be somewhat warmer again, because it is to early in the year to be this cold.
So far, my apartment has been quite warm, but I did feel the need to wear some extra socks as my feet are getting quite cold. Luckily I brought my knitted socks with me! I knitted these in spring, when I obviously didn't need them but my, I'm happy to have them now.
The pattern I used was from Jane Austen Knits, namely 'Marianne Dashwood Stockings' designed by Ann Kingstone.
I really liked knitting socks and they are so much nicer to wear than store-bought socks. So I feel a new pair of socks should be on my needles soon.
