When it was time for me to go back to Finland, I had a rummage through my stash and WIP's and found the mitts and socks again. My stash is really quite big, so I decided to de-stash a bit. The first step in this process is finishing all my WIP's. Because I promised my boyfriend mitts and socks such a long time ago, I decided these would be the first projects I'd finish.
In the picture you can see how far I got. Yes, not very far...
The pattern is also from Jane Austen knits (I absolutely love those magazines!), it's 'Fitz' by Catherine Shields, from the 2011 issue. The yarn is lovely, it's Rowan's fine tweed, but I'm afraid I'll run out of it before the second mitten is done. So I'll have to see what to do about that. For now I'll continue knitting and hoping that for some miraculous reason, I'll have enough yarn.
After the mitts I'll pick up those poor socks again. After that I'll finish projects I've promised to others. Yes, I think that'll keep me busy until Christmas. Shhh! Don't tell anyone I'm also knitting a cardigan for myself.
