... Since my last post. In May and June I took care of the cutest dog I know, Lola. It's my mum's and partner's dog, I 'dogsat' whilst they were on holiday. After they came back me and my boyfriend brought her back to her home and went on a holiday ourselves.
And here she is! Lying on my knitting, of course, she always does that. Isn't she very cute? She's quite something, always ready for a cuddle or some mischief.
Me and my boyfriend went on holiday in England and Scotland, we stayed one week in the beautiful Peak District and the other week in the Scottish borders. We had a lovely two weeks and visited very nice places and hiked through a magnificent bit of nature.

This is Haddon Hall, a very beautiful Tudor building with a stunning garden. It is situated in the Peak District, close to the town of Bakewell (famous for its puddings and tarts).
The Peak District is so very beautiful, the hike we made was quite adventurous but we were rewarded with this stunning view.
I took quite some knitting with me on our holiday, but didn't get round to knit a lot. Therefore I'll show you something I knitted a while ago, but haven't had the time to share with you.

It's a scarf I knitted for my mum for mother's day this year. We picked the yarn and the pattern together when she was visiting me in Helsinki in February/March this year. The yarn is Piura by a brand named Lamana. I'm not familiar with this brand at all, but Piura is very nice to knit with. I also used it for my Sherlock's wallpaper phone sock. The yarn is 100% baby alpaca, so very soft and excellent for squishing against your cheeks when not knitting.
The pattern is in Finnish and called Aaltoillen, I got the pattern for free when I bought the yarn.

This scarf was a very quick knit, it started at the top with just seven stitches and every other row includes several increases. The lace pattern is only worked in the last rows.
I hope I have more new things to show you soon. At the moment I'm working on so many different projects and not finishing anything, although I'm trying. Ah well... we'll see.
