I'm so delighted to finally share this scarf with everyone! I finished it back in March, but I decided to give it to my mother as a present for Mother's Day. A couple of years ago my boyfriend gave me Rowan's Fine Lace book. It features some gorgeous designs for knitted and crocheted scarves, wraps, and some tops.

She choose an off-white colour and I set about knitting. At first I found the pattern quite difficult and made many, many mistakes! So I had to go back and start again a couple of times. After a while I found that the pattern was getting easier and easier. Unbelievably after even more time I knew the 30-something rows by heart and this pattern became very lovely to knit. It was very meditative and before I knew it this scarf was done.
Below you can see the finished result. So many lovely lacey pattern repeats. The result is so stunning!
And some close-up pictures, to show you the beauty of the pattern, and see how it flows in different directions.

When I went to visit my mother last week. I gave her the scarf and she is very happy with it. I'm also very happy because now I can finally show you this lovely scarf! The knitting of this scarf was so nice that I'm tempted to cast it on again and make one for myself!
